The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning and execution of all plant maintenance work and purchasing functions. This role will serve as an active player/coach within the maintenance team, both administering jobs, sourcing parts, building kits, and planning work. The role will be responsible for assistance with Maintenance Management software (JDE) operations and coordination of purchasing activities as they relate to the successful operation of the facility, and for maintaining appropriate spare parts and consumable inventory levels. The Maintenance Planner must be well-versed in maintenance tools/techniques and be able to facilitate training for other company employees in maintenance fundamentals. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Minimum 5 years in front line maintenance experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Understanding of Total Productive Maintenance program elements and methods.
Able to give firm direction in day to day assignments to maintenance personnel.
Willing to engage all plant personnel to complete maintenance tasks.
Ability to approach problems analytically based on a strong foundation of practical experience.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Prior experience working with skilled trades
Previous experience working with JDE software
Experience with EAM systems or CMMS
