The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Louisville Medical Center is seeking a full-time BE/BC fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Trauma surgeon with a focus in high energy trauma. The division currently includes four full-time Orthopaedic Trauma surgeons and three Advanced Practice Providers. This is an excellent opportunity to join a regional referral center with a Level 1 Trauma program. The qualified candidate will be a full-time faculty member of the University of Louisville Medical Center and hold an academic rank within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University of Louisville School of Medicine.
What we’re seeking:
· Medical degree – MD
· BE/BC in Orthopaedic Surgery
· Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Trauma surgery required, focus in high energy periarticular fractures including pelvis and acetabulum.
· Excellent patient care abilities and interest in teaching
· Active participation in clinical research, including leading projects with residents and fellows.
· Participation in the adult orthopaedic trauma call coverage schedule at Level 1 Trauma hospital
· Participation and experience in OTA regional and national meetings
· Holds or qualifies for licensure to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
· Previous NIH/DoD grant experience preferred
