Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field of study - OR - High School diploma plus 2 years of experience in IT support functions or IT technical-related experience.
Required to be on-call and to respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general work hours.
Work occasionally may require in excess of eight hours per day.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field of study.
Customer service experience.
Certifications: A+, Network+, MCP, CCNA
Rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Workload pressure will regularly subject the incumbent to moderate to high job-related stress
Responsibilities:
Install, program, and commission electronic control systems, which may include door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, communication, structured cabling, cable management, electronic locks, Wi-Fi locks, network switches, point sensors, signaling devices, and associated hardware.
Troubleshoot and repair problems with equipment, software, or configuration and return systems to full functionality.
Provide end-user support and assistance with badge access, video surveillance, electronic control systems, and other network system components.
Documents work in progress and solutions to trouble calls using call tracking software.
Provides the manager with daily status reports of ongoing projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
