Current active research includes NIMH, CDC, NIDA, foundation, and state-funded projects. Applicants with strong methodological, statistical, and quantitative experience are desirable.

Fellows will have opportunities to engage in working with healthcare systems on improving their suicide care pathways and will have opportunities for providing training and education across a range of settings, including within the medical school, graduate school of nursing, and residency programs both at UMass Chan and with other Universities.

Fellows will have the opportunity to accrue supervised clinical hours to qualify for licensure. Fellows are encouraged and supported to obtain their license after their first year of training. Supervisors are committed to evidence-based practice and provide supervision across a variety of empirically supported treatments, including acceptance-based therapies, cognitive behavioral therapy, health psychology, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness-oriented therapies.
