Patient Service Rep - University Palliative Care

University Physicians Association is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Patient Service Rep position at University Palliative Care (Located within the UT Medical Center - Cancer Institute ). Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience. Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations Serve as the primary point of contact between patients and providers, documenting patient communications in the electronic medical record (Cerner) Respond to patient inquiries and schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-up visits Monitor test results, process medication prior authorizations, and coordinate follow-up care as needed Track and report clinical and operational metrics, including patient volumes, appointment no-shows, and documentation turnaround times Maintain accurate documentation, manage office supplies, and support daily administrative operations Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize workflows and enhance the patient experience Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and other duties as assigned by the Office Supervisor
