ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:

The Network News team at TelevisaUnivision is seeking a talented, passionate, and driven Reporter to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Reporter will cover breaking news, developing stories, and major events for our network and streaming platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with excellent editorial judgment, live reporting skills, and a commitment to delivering accurate, engaging news in Spanish.

ABOUT YOU:

You are a bilingual journalist with a passion for news, storytelling, and connecting with the community. You thrive in a fast paced newsroom, work well under pressure, and can confidently report live from the  field. You bring strong writing, research, interviewing, and communication skills.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Investigate, produce, and report news in Spanish across network and streaming platforms.
• Cover breaking news, developing stories, and significant events in Phoenix and surrounding areas.
• Research, write, edit scripts and broadcast content.
• Deliver live reports and conduct interviews from the field.
• Collaborate with producers, assignment editors, photographers, and newsroom leadership to plan, develop, and execute daily news coverage.
• Adapt quickly to changing news situations and deliver engaging, accurate coverage.
• Leverage digital and social media platforms to support storytelling, engage audiences, and extend the reach of news content, as needed.
• Travel to nearby cities and other locations as needed to cover assigned stories, breaking news, and major events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the goals and priorities of the Network News team.

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcast Communications, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Spanish-language broadcasting preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, with strong English communication skills.
• Experience with live reporting, interviewing, and news storytelling.
• Strong knowledge of current events, news gathering, investigative research, scriptwriting, and broadcast storytelling.
• Excellent on-camera presence, editorial judgment, and public speaking skills.
• Familiarity with digital journalism, social media, and multimedia storytelling workflows is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
