Customer Development Analyst

Overview

This position is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager of Sales and Director of Sales in managing customer growth opportunities within Walmart and Sam’s Club for licensed sports apparel and headwear categories.  The position will be responsible for supporting accounts with administrative tasks as well as sales analytics and performance and inventory/assortment management. This individual must be analytical, a self-starter, a collaborator, a good communicator and have a strong desire to learn the business. #LI-Remote

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with Senior Manager and Director of sales to develop, formulate, and drive strategies to meet identified account needs and objectives.
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of Walmart and Sam’s Club data sources and perform analysis including sales, inventory, productivity, etc. to identify business building opportunities.
• Manage item setup process for both Walmart and Sam’s Club
• Oversee Sam’s Club Ecommerce business including monitoring sales, inventory levels and order fulfillment timing utilizing Sam’s Club Supplier Hub
• Assist with Hot Market Event process and orders (March Madness, College Football Playoffs, College World Series, Super Bowl, NBA playoffs, NHL Stanley Cup, etc.)
• Individual needs to have deep passion for learning. Must have the ability to be analytical and creative to think outside the box to be a solutions provider.
• Handle administrative tasks including but not limited to maintaining seasonal balance sheets, order submissions, and pricing adjustments.
• Troubleshoot issues/opportunities to ensure successful execution of programs and completion of objectives.
• Develop strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams as well as, buying, replenishment and financial planning staffs at respective retail partners.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years sales, retail buying, or marketing experience; apparel industry and/or CPG experience preferred
• Strong computer skills – database and spreadsheet tools, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Walmart and/or Sam’s Club experience preferred
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Financial Acumen; understanding of retail math and scorecard drivers
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Understanding of the Licensed Sports Apparel and Headwear environment a plus
