POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a proactive and collaborative Senior Officer, Assurance Provider Oversight (previous CB Monitoring) to support certification bodies monitoring activities for our certification system in Africa. Monitoring the performance of the certification bodies (CBs) doing audits based on the Rainforest Alliance certification system is key to strengthen the credibility of our system.
The Senior Officer, Assurance Provider Oversight will support coordinating audits by Rainforest Alliance in Africa, including operative and administrative follow up, document and records management, communication to different parties involved in the CB Monitoring activities, making progress reports as well as providing support to the team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Developing, executing and continually improving the Assurance Provider Oversight annual plan;

• Coordinate and plan CB Monitoring audits and their follow-up activities;

• Oversee the deliverables and activities of a group of experienced auditors in the monitoring program;

• Ensure the calibration of the auditing team in the interpretation of applicable procedures and normative documents, both within the region and with teams from other regions;

• Developing (when requested), implementing and continually improving assigned procedures, policies and rules;

• Alongside other teams, driving the Rainforest Alliance strategy to strengthen its assurance system in the assigned region; and

• Translating insights from the field into improvements in the Rainforest Alliance Standard and Assurance system.

• Provide operative (e.g. logistical coordination) and administrative (e.g. contracts and payments) support to execute the activities of the Assurance Provider Oversight team in the region.

• Manage communication with stakeholders involved in monitoring activities, ensuring alignment, transparency and timeline dissemination of key information and outcomes.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• University degree in administration, or related career.

• 5 years' experience, in an administrative support role.

• Written and verbal proficiency in French and English.

• Knowledge of auditing systems and continuous improvement cycle.
