Senior Unix system engineer

Job Description
The software lifecycle team does development and maintenance of facilities for Unix system installation, upgrades, patching, backup/restore, and virtualization. Current we are looking for a senior (python) script developer to help refactor our upgrade tooling into a modular design with clear distinguishable process steps which supports multiple operating systems. The design should provide clear progress reporting and unambiguous logging.
Education
Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics or Technical Software
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of experience.
Must have experience: Unix, Python, Shell script, Linux on x86, Solaris on SPARC, Software development for installation and upgrades, packaging, patching, TCP/IP, NFS, FTP, VNC.
Nice to have experience: C, RedHat Linux, WindRiver Linux, VMWare, Linux KVM.
