    Strategic Sales Representative

    Job description

    The Strategic Sales Representative is responsible for implementing the company's sales strategy, meeting the demands of all stakeholders - customers, employees, suppliers, investors, and government agencies.  This role requires the ability to successfully manage tasks and assignments in multiple areas. Initiative and ownership of responsibilities are critical to the success of this individual.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Work closely with prospective and existing customers to identify, extract and close business development opportunities

    • Build a detailed understanding of the customer, markets (USA and abroad) and competitors

    • Build coalitions across the business to support the delivery of sales targets

    • Work closely with the Applications Team to ensure the production of effective quotation documentation for submission at your request

    • Follow each opportunity through to completion through close liaison with the customer

    • Act in accordance with the behaviors for UTAC staff at all times

    • Become fully conversant with the company's CRM system and use as directed

    • Represent the business on specific industry focus groups as and when required

    • Work with the business units to develop new revenue streams previously not employed

    • Assists in supporting the UTAC culture and values (Integrity, Expertise, and Innovation)

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and Skill Requirements: 

    Experience

    • Sales/business development experience within automotive sector (preferred)

    • Automotive and/or transport industry experience

    • Accomplished sales experience with a variety of large clients

    Skills

    • Building and maintaining customer relationships

    • Analytical, using authority and judgement

    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels

    • Excellent presentation skills

    • High level communication and negotiation skills

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills

    • Problem solving

    • Knowledge of current technologies employed in the transport sector with a keen desire to maintain and grow that knowledge

    Other

    • Flexibility to travel (USA & Abroad) as and when required

    • Flexibility to work after hours when required

    • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel between customers and works site as needed

    • Willing to undergo a background check

    • Consistently adhere to, and support all UTAC policies, procedures, and safety regulations
