    Job description

    • FTE: 0.9
    • Pay Range: $27.74 - $40.23 / hr.

    Work Schedule: 

    90% FTE, 3 12-hour shifts per week working 7:00pm - 7:30am, rotating weekends and holidays. You will work at UW Health Belvidere Hospital 1625 S State St.

    We are currently seeking a Medical Lab Technician/Scientist to:

    • Perform diagnostic laboratory testing across multiple specialties, helping provide critical results that support patient diagnosis and treatment.
    • Utilize advanced laboratory technology and instrumentation while ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and reliability.
    • Partner with physicians, caregivers, and laboratory professionals to deliver timely information that impacts patient care.
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through quality assurance, troubleshooting, process enhancement, and ongoing professional development.

    Additional components of compensation include impressive shift differentials - $3.50/ hr evening, $4.50 hr night, and $3.75/ hr weekend shift differential as applicable for hours worked.

    Additional components of compensation may include overtime and on-call pay

    Qualifications
    • Associate's Degree in laboratory science or medical technology. Required
    • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required
    Work Experience
    • One year experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or relevant laboratory experience. Preferred
    Licenses & Certifications
    • Medical Laboratory Technician certification by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or similar agency preferred. Preferred
