Ski Patrol Specialist – PT Summer Temporary Help – Northstar California

Summer Ski Patrol Specialist is responsible for overseeing special event locations as assigned and reporting any medical calls to ski patrol dispatch. This positions is for part time patrol/medical staff to assist with our on-mountain events such as Tough Mudder Tahoe. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• First to handle difficult employee situations as this position is part of the ski patrol chain of command
• Supervising and promoting guest safety
• Assisting injured guests on the mountain and administering first aid
• Transporting and setting up mountain safety equipment
• Transporting supplies and medical equipment to areas as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must possess a current California Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification OR National Ski Patrol Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC) required.  National registry EMT accepted.
• Or higher medical training
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Must work well in a team
• Must be able to lead small teams
• Must successfully pass back ground check
• Must be available to work weekends events
• Must have the ability to lead a team during emergency situations
• Must have specific areas of expertise in swift water or cold water rescue
