Substitute Teacher

Position Reports to: Principal

Position Overview:

The substitute teacher is responsible for maintaining an academic, behavioral, and spiritually stimulating atmosphere in the absence of the regular teacher, to the praise and glory of God.

Position Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates spiritual maturity
• Relate with appropriate and respectful voice and actions to all children
• Responsible for safety and welfare of children
• Provides effective and appropriate discipline within school guidelines
• Initiates meeting the needs of the students and staff
• Works well with children & youth
• Prompt and reliable attendance record 
• Able to read and respond well to teachers’ given instructions

Other position appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the Principal or Teacher.

Must hold a Bachelor's degree.
