The Opportunity

As an entry-level Recruiter at Venn, you'll help build our talent acquisition function during a critical growth phase. You'll work on the full recruiting cycle from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and supporting offer processes. This role reports into our Head of People and you'll partner with hiring managers across Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success.

This is a great first role in recruiting. You'll learn by doing: supporting hiring managers, building sourcing strategies with guidance, connecting with candidates, and getting hands-on experience across the entire hiring process. You won't be starting from zero, you'll have a supportive team and clear expectations as you ramp up. What You'll Do

• Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, team needs, and culture fit expectations
• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referral networks, and direct outreach—building your sourcing playbook as you go
• Screen resumes, conduct initial phone/video interviews, and assess candidate qualifications against role criteria
• Coordinate logistics for interviews, manage scheduling across multiple stakeholders, and keep candidates informed throughout the process
• Prepare and present candidate scorecards to hiring managers with clear assessments and recommendations
• Manage offer preparation, negotiation support, and close conversations to bring candidates over the finish line
• Track recruiting metrics (time-to-hire, sourcing quality, candidate pipeline health) and continuously optimize your process
• Collaborate cross-functionally with People Operations on onboarding, background checks, and new hire logistics
• Gather feedback from hiring managers and candidates post-hire to improve your recruiting approach
• Contribute to employer branding efforts—representing Venn at career events, campus recruiting, or networking events
• Build and maintain a strong candidate network and referral relationships for future pipeline

What You Bring

• Strong communication skills—you're comfortable talking to hiring managers and candidates, and you can listen more than you talk
• Organizational skills and attention to detail, you keep track of multiple candidates, dates, and follow-ups without dropping things
• Genuine curiosity about people, what motivates them, and why they make career decisions
• Eagerness to learn recruiting from the ground up—you ask questions, take feedback well, and are excited to develop new skills
• Reliability and follow-through—you do what you say you'll do and take pride in your work
• A collaborative mindset—you work well with others, ask for help when needed, and are genuinely interested in helping your team succeed
• Strong writing skills—you can write clear, professional emails and communicate effectively in writing
• Ability to learn recruiting tools quickly (Rippling, LinkedIn, Indeed, or similar platforms)
• Comfort with people—you genuinely enjoy meeting new people and building relationships

Nice to Have

• Recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition internship experience
• Customer service, sales, or hospitality experience (demonstrates ability to work with people)
• Experience recruiting for technical, sales, or customer-facing roles
• Familiarity with startup environments
• Previous experience using recruiting platforms or LinkedIn
