Verdantas is seeking a talented Distribution Field Technician to join our team in Michigan. This hands-on role focuses on supporting field operations, ensuring quality and compliance across a variety of electric distribution infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do:

• Map and inventory existing overhead and underground distribution systems in the field, supporting the design and providing input on system rebuilds and upgrades
• Identify system and safety issues in electrical systems
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings between clients and construction contractors
• Perform construction inspections and spot checks to ensure construction meets design and safety standards
• Perform post-construction inspections supporting as-builts and ensuring safe and reliable electricity distribution for residential, commercial, and utility clients
• Completion of field documentation in a timely manner, such as job safety analysis (JSA) forms, project field reports, field notes, monitoring, and chain-of-custody forms
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and maintain strong communication with the office staff

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience with electric overhead and underground distribution systems
• Strong knowledge of electric distribution systems and equipment, including but not limited to: transformers, insulators, switches, conductor, elbows, and tees
• Ability to read and interpret electrical distribution job packages
• Capable of working primarily in an outdoor work environment and occasional office environment
• Capable of spending significant time in the car while driving to various job sites
• Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. without accommodation
• Commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License
• Groundman experience is a plus.

Salary Range:

$27-$40/hour
