    Job description

CNBC is seeking a creative, social-first Manager of Communications to manage the strategy and execution of CNBC's dedicated brand social channels.

This role will oversee the vision, content strategy, and day-to-day management of CNBC's brand storytelling platforms, creating compelling, platform-native content that showcases the network’s strategy, as well as Versant’s overall strategy, through its people, journalism, innovation, culture, partnerships, products, and experiences that define CNBC.

As a member of the CNBC Communications team, this person will work cross-functionally with Editorial, Marketing, Product, Events, Partnerships, Talent, and Executive Leadership to bring the CNBC brand to life across social media. The role will help tell CNBC's story beyond the daily news cycle, supporting key business priorities, amplifying exclusive journalism, promoting new initiatives, and connecting with our audience.

The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, producer, storyteller, and content creator with a strong understanding of how audiences engage across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms. They are passionate about social media, thrive in a fast-paced news environment, and have a proven ability to translate business initiatives into engaging, shareable content that strengthens brand reputation and drives engagement.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage CNBC's brand storytelling strategy by overseeing the vision, content strategy, and day-to-day management of CNBC's dedicated brand social channels.
    • Develop and maintain a cross-functional editorial calendar aligned with business priorities, key programming, product launches, partnerships, events, and corporate initiatives.
    • Identify proactive storytelling opportunities that strengthen CNBC's brand, deepen audience engagement, and showcase the people, journalism, innovation, culture, and experiences behind the network.
    • Create and edit compelling, platform-native written, visual, and video content optimized for distribution across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
    • Collaborate with the Communications team to extend PR campaigns through social storytelling and support launches of new products, programming, and partnerships.
    • Build strong cross-functional relationships across Editorial, Marketing, Product, Events, Partnerships, Research, and Versant Corporate Communications to identify storytelling opportunities, align messaging, and ensure a consistent brand voice across all channels.
    • Measure and optimize performance by tracking audience growth, engagement, referral traffic, and content performance across platforms. Use audience insights and analytics to refine content strategy, identify emerging trends, and recommend new formats and creative approaches that increase reach and engagement

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in communications, social media, content strategy, digital marketing or journalism.
    • Exceptional storytelling instincts with strong editorial judgment.
    • Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube best practices.
    • Excellent writing and copy-editing skills.
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Experience using analytics to inform content strategy.
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, CapCut, Canva or similar creative tools.
    • Passion for business news, media and storytelling.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience in news, media or entertainment.
    • Corporate communications or brand marketing experience.
    • Event coverage and live social experience.
    • Comfortable filming, interviewing and editing short-form content.
    • Experience working with executives and on-air talent
