Senior QA Lead

Focused on improving operational efficiency, capacity and customer experience through technology. As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a QA Engineer to support quality assurance activities and help ensure software products meet agreed quality, reliability and performance requirements.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Apply QA processes, testing approaches and quality standards across projects.
• Develop and maintain test strategies and test plans aligned to project requirements.
• Perform manual testing and identify opportunities for automation.
• Create and maintain automated test suites across digital products.
• Prioritise testing activities based on business impact and risk.
• Support testing activities throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and quality improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with designers, developers, Product Owners and business stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document quality-related processes, test approaches and outcomes.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and team development activities.

Essential Experience

• 7+ years' experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using testing frameworks and tools such as Playwright, WDIO, Cypress or Appium.
• Experience with Typescript and/or JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps and test management platforms such as TestRail or Zephyr.
• Experience performing API testing.
• Experience using Git and GitHub workflows.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while aligning with team standards and delivery practices.
• Communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with K6, JMeter or other performance-testing platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure services and cloud environments.
• Experience testing microservice-based architectures.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced colleagues.
• Agile or DevOps certifications such as Scrum Master or Cloud Foundations.
• Experience delivering mobile test automation with Appium.
