Customs Manager ( F/M/NB)

About the role:

The impact you’ll make:

• Ensure the company's global import and export activities comply with applicable customs and international trade regulations.
• Identify customs compliance risks, conduct risk assessments, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance customs policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent compliance across the organization.
• Lead customs-related projects across multiple markets, including initiatives relating to HS classification, customs valuation, country of origin, special procedures, and process harmonization.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and proactively advise the business on potential risks, opportunities, and required actions.
• Provide expert customs guidance to internal stakeholders and support business initiatives involving international trade and supply chain changes.
• Manage and oversee external customs brokers and service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Coordinate customs audits and inquiries from customs authorities and support remediation activities where required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customs compliance, operational efficiency, and process standardization.
• Own customs duty reporting and support the monitoring, analysis, and optimization of customs-related costs.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in customs, global trade compliance, or international trade management.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, HS classification, customs valuation, rules of origin, and import/export compliance requirements.
• Experience working with ERP and trade compliance systems, preferably SAP and SAP GTS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across regions and functions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.Experience managing external customs brokers, consultants, and service providers.
• Proficiency in Polish and English skills
• Based in Warsaw area
