Compensation: $80,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experience and assignment

One posting, several possible routes. Via Logic is hiring for multiple openings at different experience levels. Your work may focus on network defenses, security platforms, system hardening, access controls, or integrating security tools across an environment. The broad experience and compensation ranges reflect the different openings; we will explore where your strengths fit best.

Eligibility & Clearance Requirements

These openings support CBP work. Applicants must:

• Be U.S. citizens.
• Be able to complete the CBP suitability process and receive a favorable determination before starting the assignment. The process includes a background investigation and review of credit history.
• Meet any additional clearance requirement for the specific opening. Some assignments may require a Secret or Top Secret clearance, and specialized assignments may require SCI eligibility. We will confirm the requirement as we match candidates to openings.

Your Mission

• Configure, maintain, and improve security controls across systems, applications, or networks.
• Help implement and troubleshoot tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection, endpoint protection, access controls, or security monitoring platforms, depending on the assignment.
• Work with system owners to address vulnerabilities, strengthen configurations, and verify that improvements are working as intended.
• Support incident investigation and remediation when the systems or controls you manage are involved.
• Integrate security tools and processes with the teams that operate the environment, keeping reliability and mission needs in view.
• Document configurations, changes, procedures, and recommendations so teammates can build on your work.

What You Bring to the Expedition

• Approximately 1–5 years of relevant experience in security engineering, network or systems engineering with a security focus, or a related technical field. We will consider the depth of your work alongside your years of experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring, administering, or improving at least one security technology or control.
• Familiarity with some of the following: network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, identity and access, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, application security, cloud security, or logging.
• The ability to diagnose a problem, work with technical partners on a fix, and verify the result.
• The ability to work onsite in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Experience in adjacent application, cloud, or network security specialties is welcome. Specific technologies and duties vary by assignment; you do not need to have worked with every control listed here.

• These roles work onsite at a government site in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The specific site depends on the assignment.
• You will work with Via Logic teammates, government partners, and other technical teams using tools approved for your work environment.
• Schedules depend on the opening. We will discuss any extended hours or on-call expectations before moving forward with a specific assignment.
• When virtual meetings are part of the work, we expect active participation and use video when appropriate and permitted by the customer environment.
