The Role

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Business Manager role will make an impact:

• The Healthcare Partnership Team Business Manager role will have responsibility and accountability for the strategic and operational account management of the Viatris promoted Branded products.  The Business Manager will need to ensure the delivery of agreed sales objectives and resulting product sales growth within a defined geographical territory and distinct timelines, whilst adhering to the ABPI Code of Conduct.

• The development of effective customer relationships with key stakeholders across all NHS environments (ICB, Tertiary, Secondary and Primary Care etc) will be a critical success factor.  A thorough understanding of the evolution of the NHS structure and how that may impact on the Viatris portfolio is key.

• Building key relationships with relevant stakeholders in target accounts and previous demonstratable experience of this are vital to his role.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and assess business opportunities from complex sets of data is The formulation of strategic, robust account plans based on data, local NHS knowledge and insights is also fundamental.

• The construction of joint customer plans in partnership with key stakeholders around a solution focused approach, is pivotal to ensure continued collaboration with key NHS stakeholders.

• A forward-looking view on how the business can pivot to meet the needs of the evolving NHS – at a population health level, across ICS/ICBs at scale – is desired.

The Business manager role affords a large degree of autonomy and responsibility, to ensure a focused, targeted approach that provides a successful outcome for Viatris and the NHS.  This can include the selection, in discussion with the RBM, of target accounts and customer groups enabling exclusive responsibility for target customers within a defined territory.

There are ample training opportunities to upskill both internally and externally.  There is also the opportunity to develop into other field-based roles or head office roles, as they arise according to  development plans.

The  qualifications for this role are:

• Education to degree level preferred

• Successful track record in a similar role with a commercial mindset

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to identify / distil opportunities from complex sets of data

• Strong Project Management and Presentation Skills

• Full, clean driving
