2nd Shift Machinist (Tool Maker / Mold Maker)
Nephi, UT / Horizon Foundry Facility
Full-Time | 10-hour Shifts / 4 days a week / Overtime as required

THE ROLE

We’re hiring for Machinists at our Foundry Facility in Nephi, UT. As a member of our team, you’ll put your precision skills to work crafting, machining, and fine-tuning critical components that keep heavy industrial operations running at peak performance while turning raw castings into high-quality finished products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

· Read blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and interpret GD&T.

· Use micrometers, calipers, indicators and all common machining tools.

· Able to use basic math, geometry and trigonometry.

· Set up and operate machines by installing pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.

· Maintains specifications by taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

· Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift.

· Write and Edit G code and M code programs as required.

· Operate 3 axis vertical  CNC Mills.

· Operate CNC Mills Lathes and Turning Centers.

· Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

· Maintain equipment using preventative maintenance.

· Maintain an organized and clean work environment.

· Experience in rubber mold building preferred but not required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

· Required to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work around moving objects, and with machinery with moving parts.

WHAT YOU BRING

· 2+ Years Technical schooling preferred.

· 5+ years on the job experience preferred.

· High School graduate will be considered. 

· Able to work well with others.
