Job Description
Level 1 – Victaulic Standard Parts
- Consistently demonstrate proper machine / positioner setup & upkeep procedures.
- Certification to weld A53 pipe in 1G-R position using the GMAW-P process in accordance with ASME Sec. IX.
- Certification to weld A312 pipe in 1G-R position using the GMAW-P process in accordance with ASME Sec. IX.
- Certification to weld A53 O-Lets using the GTAW process for root and using the GMAW-P process on cap in accordance with ASME Sec. IX.
- Pass Visual test for SCH. 10 & 40 TEE Fittings in a 1G-R position using the GMAW-P Process.
- Pass a configuration / fitup test which includes an O-Lets and flange configured part.
- Proficient understanding of Victaulic ES1124 weld standard.
- Proficient understanding of part configurations via shop drawing.
- Proficient understanding of Victaulic weld symbols.
- Proficient understanding of measurement devices.
- Proficiently configure Victaulic standard parts 4” – 12” in diameter at any length.
- Proficiently weld Victaulic standard parts 4” - 12” in diameter at any length.
- Assist Welding Robot Operators with Fitup of Full Flow & Flange parts when required.
- Assist Welding Robot Operators with basic Weld Robot Operation when required.
Level 2 – Victaulic Engineered Products
- All Level 1 requirements.
- Certification to weld A53 pipe in 2G position using the RMD & GMAW-P processes in accordance with ASME Sec. IX.
- Certification to weld A312 pipe in 2G position using the RMD & GMAW-P processes in accordance with ASME Sec. IX.
- Proficient Rigging & Crane operation for non-standard, long, and large parts.
- Proficiently weld Victaulic standard parts < 3” in diameter at any length.
- Proficiently weld Victaulic standard parts 12” + in diameter at any length.
Level 3 – Victaulic Welding Proficiency & Flexibility
- All Level 2 requirements.
- Balance welding related production where required.
- Perform the duties of a Level 1 Structural Welder.
- Assist in trialing new part weldability and feasibility.
- Assist in mentoring less skilled welders with best practices.
- Advanced knowledge on troubleshooting procedures.
