    Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinical (Team Lead)

    Job Code: HCP052/Social Worker, Licensed 3

    Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average)

    Job Hours: Times May Vary

    Base Location: Lawrenceville, GA

    Division/Department/Program: MH Day Services - Crews Center: Beacon Place/Five Points

At the outpatient centers, we promote overall health and quality of life for individuals, youth and families through evidenced-based therapies and medication management to reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance use.

    The Behavioral Health Team Leader is the working supervisor for a team of clinicians, med providers &/or paraprofessionals staff providing mental health &/or substance use disorders treatment services. Under supervision learns to perform psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments.

    Duties& Responsibilities:

    • Provides clinical supervision to subordinates; reviews care plans, treatment provided, and staff documentation for conformity to agency and payer requirements.
    • Appropriately interprets, implements, and enforces compliance with agency policies and procedures and safety regulations.
    • Provides day-to-day oversight and administrative leadership and support to subordinate staff.
    • Interviews, recommends hires, trains, and evaluates performance of staff. Schedules staff coverage.
    • Manage a caseload of clients to include intakes/comprehensive assessments, treatment planning and provides educational and skill development group sessions as indicated on the service plan.
    • Completes documentation within 24 hours.
    • Requests authorization within required time frames.
    • Provides crisis intervention services to existing and walk-in clients as needed.
    • May serve as case manager to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and continuity of care between clients, physicians, other organizational components, community resources and service providers.
    • Assesses client’s need for emergency admission certification.
    • Executes the legal forms required to refer the client to an emergency receiving facility for evaluation of the need for involuntary commitment to a hospital or crisis intervention facility.
    • Arranges transfer of the client to the receiving facility.
    • May assist with applicant interviews and hiring process.
    • Trains and evaluates performance of staff.  Schedules staff coverage. 

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master's degree in social work and counseling or a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two (2) years of at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent; experience OR Master’s degree in social work and counseling or a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two (2) years of related post-license experience

    Note: Licensed as an LAPC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW (associate or full licensed required)

    Preferred Qualifications: 

    • LCSW or LPC
    • Experience with Carelogic or other EHR/EMR
    • Previous experience working with SPMI, SUD and/or co-occurring disorders.

    Requirements/Competencies:

    • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
    • Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
    • Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
    • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens
