Role Summary
The Education Coordinator is a 12-month, full-time position This position will work directly with students, staff, faculty, and the public; in person, by telephone, and by email.
Responsibilities
Field Placements & Student Teaching:
Coordinate student teacher placements and assign supervisor support.
Arrange field placements across all Education Department courses.
Enforce strict placement protocols established with partner school districts.
Licensing, Compliance & Background Checks:
Serve as the Teacher Licensing Officer for Vincennes University.
Track PRAXIS test scores required for student state licensing.
Manage background checks and clearances through CastleBranch, DCS, and CANTS.
Data Management, Accreditation & Reporting:
Collect and analyze internal and external data for departmental assessment and accreditation needs.
Prepare, maintain, and edit program Assessment Reports.
Manage data required for Federal, State, and institutional accreditation reporting.
Student Recruitment & Admissions:
Drive recruitment efforts for Education majors by leading department tours and attending local college/career fairs.
Travel as needed for recruitment events and state-level required meetings.
Meet directly with prospective students and their families.
Academic & Program Support:
Assist with student Degree Audits.
Possibility of serving in adjunct teaching roles as assigned.
Record meeting notes and assist with various program-related meetings.
Edit and update program handbooks.
Departmental Administration & Operations:
Maintain and monitor the Education Department webpage and social media platforms.
Organize, update, and maintain department Google Drive resources.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
Communication & Professional Skills:
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Communicate effectively with external entities, school districts, and state agencies.
Your Qualifications
Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or a related field.
Preferred Experience: Prior experience in P–12 schools or Higher Education settings is strongly preferred.
Licensure: Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Technical Skills:
Computer Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of personal computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, data entry/retrieval, and database management.
Software Competency: Demonstrated experience using Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

Work Requirements:
