Student Content Creator Intern

External Relations is seeking an outstanding student to help tell the VU Story.

An External Relations internship provides real-world experience and knowledge in social media, public relations, multimedia reporting, photography, videography, writing, editing, and other areas. An internship can lead to priceless skills and valuable connections that help propel career growth. Interns may assist in a variety of roles and work directly with the Director of Public Relations, News and Social Media.

The position responsibilities include helping tell the VU story;

• Shooting video and photographs; editing content including video and photographs

• Conducting on-camera interviews; developing ideas for future stories and projects

• Writing press releases, stories and various content

• Performing other duties as assigned.

A successful candidate must possess:

• Solid experience using Adobe Creative Cloud Pro products including Premiere

• Strong communication skills

• A can-do attitude

• Solid writing skills

• Ability to work on deadline; Attention to detail

• Willingness to learn; and Self-motivation.

• They also must be able to work in a confidential setting and maintain appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
