We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Manager of Environmental Services to lead our Housekeeping and Laundry teams at Vincentian Schenley Gardens Personal Care, located in the heart of Oakland.

What You'll Do
As the Manager of Environmental Services, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Housekeeping and Laundry Departments while ensuring a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, coach, and develop Housekeeping and Laundry team members.
- Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure quality service and resident satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as infection prevention and safety standards.
- Develop department goals, procedures, and workflows that promote efficiency and high-quality service.
- Manage department scheduling, payroll approvals, budgets, accounts payable, and inventory.
- Order and maintain housekeeping, laundry, and resident care supplies while monitoring costs and stock levels.
- Partner with Maintenance by submitting work orders and coordinating repairs as needed.
- Participate in regulatory surveys and ensure departmental readiness.
- Collaborate with People Operations on recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Stay informed on new products, equipment, and industry best practices to continually improve department operations.
- Serve as an on-call resource for emergency situations when needed.
- Support resident transportation and other campus needs as assigned.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an environmental services-related field.
- Four years of experience in housekeeping, laundry, environmental services, or maintenance within a healthcare setting.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in healthcare or senior living.

Work Environment
Employees of a personal care facility work in a resident care environment that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Employees can be expected to be exposed to unpleasant odors and may encounter physically or verbally aggressive residents.
Working conditions include normal indoor temperatures. There may also be times when employees perform duties outdoors. Depending on the season, outdoor temperatures will vary.
Employees may come into contact with residents who have infectious diseases or to resident bodily fluids or blood. In addition, employees may come into contact with hazardous materials and facility equipment.
