Shifts:

7:00am-3:00pm Memory Care - Monday-Friday + every other weekend availability

11:00pm-7:00am (32 hours/week - Full Time Benefit eligible!)

Vincentian Schenley Gardens, located in the heart of Pittsburgh in Oakland, is looking for a compassionate and dependable Resident Aide to join our team!

As a Resident Aide, you’ll make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing hands-on support, companionship, and assistance with their daily needs. If you enjoy working with older adults and want a position where the work you do truly matters, we’d love to have you join our team.

What You’ll Do

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, dental hygiene, and other personal care needs.
• Provide assistance with dining, transportation, and resident activities.
• Complete light housekeeping duties as needed.
• Escort residents and assist with internal transportation needs.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical, cognitive, or emotional condition to the nurse.
• Conduct resident rounds and room checks to promote safety and well-being.
• Report safety hazards, incidents, accidents, and other concerns appropriately.
• Participate in resident-centered activities and help create a welcoming, engaging environment.
• Respond appropriately during emergency and disaster situations.
• Protect resident rights and maintain confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members to meet residents’ needs.
• Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with kindness, respect, and dignity.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous resident care experience or related training preferred.
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful approach to working with older adults.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to respond appropriately to the physical and emotional needs of residents.
