Baltimore Junior Academy is seeking a passionate, mission-driven Early Childhood Director to lead our
Early Childhood program with excellence and a commitment to Christ-centered education. The successful candidate must be a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who demonstrates a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and serves as the spiritual leader of the classroom through daily worship, prayer, Bible instruction, and Christ-like example. The ideal candidate must possess the qualifications and credentials required by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) to serve as a Child Care
Center Director.
Responsibilities include:- Providing developmentally appropriate instruction
- Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Partnering with families
- Supervising the Early Childhood program
- Ensuring compliance with Maryland licensing regulations and school policies
Requirements:
- Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Achieved no less than a Bachelor’s Degree
- Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance
- Sterling Volunteers clearance
Qualifications:- A genuine love for young children
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective classroom management skills are essential
- Prior teaching experience preferred
