Join Vista Care as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Complex Behavioral! You will provide compassionate, high-quality support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build independence in a safe, homelike environment.
Individual Care: Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), personal hygiene, meal prep, and community activities.
Behavioral & Health Support: Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavioral Support Plans (BSPs). Recognize agitation early and apply behavioral support strategies.
Medication & Documentation: Administer medications accurately and record behavioral/health updates in the EHR system.
Environment & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe living space and remain on duty until properly relieved.
Age: Must be 18 years or older.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required (Degree in Social Services/related field preferred).
Certifications: CPI preferred; must complete CPI and medication training within 90 days.
License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if driving company vehicles).
Background Check: Clear background check required.
Physical: Ability to lift 50+ lbs routinely and assist individuals with mobility.
Skills: Strong English communication, basic computer skills, and good decision-making.
