To win the customer of the future, our Energy Transition Solutions team creates the strategy and builds the products that turn today's emerging energy technologies into real solutions
    • In this role, you’ll leverage Distributed Energy Resources – EVs, home solar, whole-home batteries, and more – to create products, programs, and services that unlock new value for consumers and strengthen the grid
    • You’ll own concepts from whiteboard to market launch: ideation, economic modeling, vendor partnerships and operational rollout of new products from virtual power plants to electricity commodity plans
    • It’s a hands-on role that mixes analysis, creative problem solving, and day-to-day execution. You’ll collaborate across marketing, technology, operations and finance plus a diverse set of vendors from technology providers to global device manufacturers

    Responsibilities:

    • Transform complex energy ideas to simple, easy to understand customer offerings
    • Generate new concepts through proven ideation methodologies and opportunistic thinking
    • Understand your target audience, analyze research insights & trends, identify opportunities, and ultimately propose & deliver products/programs/partnerships
    • Lead the implementation of new products through ideation, program design, and market launch which will require working with cross-functional stakeholders
    • Manage key product verticals and support product optimization (product design, marketing and sales tactics/strategy) to achieve sales goals for new products
    • External partner relationship cultivation and management to define new programs & business models, negotiate commercial agreements, and define & execute the go-to-market workplan

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years work experience in retail-focused product development, offer/channel strategy, marketing or related function
    • 3+ years with financial modeling or customer margin analysis (related to above)
    • Experience with energy or alternative energy products (solar, battery, EVs, VPPs, Demand Response) strongly preferred
    • Proficiency in excel based modeling required, SAS/Tableau experience beneficial; willingness and ability to learn new systems as required (e.g., CRM tools)
    • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
    • Requires strong sense of self-motivation, thrives under minimal supervision, excels at solving complex problems and enjoys working around obstacles
    • Extensive communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with both internal and external customers (e.g., vendors, Marketing, Sales, IT, Legal, Operations, Finance)
    • Demonstrate a high level of curiosity, a capacity for learning, and an aptitude for problem solving
    • Able to effectively contribute to and/or lead small work groups

    Key Metrics:

    • Hit target goals for product launches, pilots and tests
    • Plan, lead and launch key initiatives in a matrixed environment
    • Realize product targets for sales velocity, retention, and/or profitability
    • Achieve product / partner targets for customer satisfaction, complaints, incidents and escalations
