Job Summary
Provides assistance to plant and/or maintenance personnel to perform repairs on stationary equipment, including crushers, conveyors, vibrators, screens, speed reducers, feeders, air compressors, etc.
Essential Functions
- Perform duties safely, responsibly and proficiently observing all safety and health rules.
- Familiar with the different types of fluids, oils and lubes for each piece of equipment
- Assist with performing equipment services according to the recommended guidelines and equipment service manuals.
- Maintains good housekeeping practices in shop and general plant area.
- Perform a variety of duties as directed in addition to those described herein.

Responsibilities
Education
- High School Diploma/GED preferred but not required.
Experience
- This is an entry level position which requires few welding skills and little to no experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good mechanical skills are required, knowledge of raw materials, production process is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to read and understand appropriate servicing and instruction manuals
Other Requirements
- Performs oil, lube, and filter services on stationary equipment and maintains and reviews lubrication reports and service records.
- Assists plant and/or shop personnel with repair and maintenance as required.
- Perform basic welding and cutting tasks as required.
- Reports equipment conditions to appropriate personnel.
