Position Summary...

The Planning & Continuous Improvement Manager (PCIM) will report directly to the General Manager and is accountable for governance and delivery of continuous improvement initiatives for the DC. The role drives measurable improvements in productivity, operating costs. The PCIM governs and standardizes the Continuous Improvement framework and plays a key role in embedding a strong CI culture at the site. This is achieved through hands-on associate coaching, Lean training, facilitation of CI workshops and regular Gemba walks with site leadership. This role plays a pivotal in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of by enabling AI data-driven decision making and implementing operational performance improvement activities.
Day to day responsibilities include tracking and analyzing performance, identifying gaps and root causes, reviewing performance metrics with senior leadership. In addition , developing and implementing process improvements, ensuring optimal use of labour and assets, and supporting the start up of new infrastructure and being AI champion for the site.

What you'll do...

1. Continuous Improvement Culture
· Lead, coach, and develop CI resources and operational leaders, building sustained CI capability and leadership accountability.
· Develop and enable operational CI champions to drive frontline, associate‑led improvement ideas
· Design and deliver Lean capability building, including training in value stream mapping, 5S, waste identification, and structured problem solving (root‑cause analysis)
2. Process Improvement and Standardization
· Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and design scalable CI process improvements
· Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives such as Kaizen events, Gemba walks, DMAIC projects, and root‑cause workshops
· Drive an annual CI initiative pipeline delivering covering productivity, cost reduction, capacity, service, quality, safety, and work environment
· Execute CI initiatives to meet savings and performance goals; set up governance routines and ensure alignment with leadership priorities.
· Develop and maintain SOPs, best practices and visual management systems
· Sustain CI gains through change management, tracking, and leadership accountability
· Prepare project charters and business cases, influencing senior stakeholders and approvals
3. Performance Measurement and Analytics
Lead regular CI performance reviews with site leadership, holding leaders accountable for corrective actions and sustained results
· Support the rollout and ongoing maintenance of performance visibility tools and engineered labor standards; develop reporting and insights to help operations identify and address performance gaps
· Leverage analytical tools and operational data to assess trends, identify root causes, and translate insights into actionable improvement plans
· Define, track, and improve DC KPIs including throughput (CPH / UPH), order accuracy, dock‑to‑stock time, on‑time shipment (OTS), labor utilization, and cost per case. Ensure KPI definitions, targets, and performance standards are consistently applied across regions.
· Build dashboards and lead regular performance reviews with operations leadership
· Support the design of incentive programs tied to productivity and quality outcomes
4. Safety, Quality and Compliance Improvement
· Partner with Health & Safety and compliance teams to identify, assess, and mitigate ergonomic and safety risks
· Improve quality processes to reduce mis‑picks, damages, and customer returns
· Integrate safety, quality, and compliance metrics into CI initiatives and performance reviews
5, Project Support and Change Management
· Support major system implementations by developing process maps, standard work, and SOPs; supporting training; investigating performance issues; and leading stabilization initiatives and be the AI champion for the site.
· Partner with stakeholders to develop data‑driven cost‑benefit analyses and business cases for high‑priority Supply Chain projects
· Support operations with peak readiness planning and execution to ensure service, productivity, and safety targets are met

The pay range for this position is $94,400.00 - $123,900.00. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
