Job Summary
Smartway Trailer Rentals is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to support our recruitment function in our Paris, Ontario location. This is a great opportunity for someone to gain hands-on experience across the full hiring cycle, working closely with our People Operations team and hiring managers across our Ontario locations. This is a new role. This role is vital in supporting employee lifecycle processes, managing People Operations systems, and ensuring seamless communication across teams. Compensation

$30.00 -$32.00 per hour based on a 40 hour work week.

Initial 3-month contract term. Continuation beyond this period will be evaluated based on business needs and performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain HR information systems such as UKG Ready and others to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Support talent acquisition efforts through applicant tracking systems by coordinating recruiting activities and maintaining candidate records.
• Assist with onboarding, training & development programs, and employee relations initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Collect and analyze HR data for reporting purposes, utilizing HRIS tools to generate insights that inform decision-making.
• Provide administrative support through data entry, document management, interview scheduling, and general HR sourcing activities.

Skills

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms including UKG Ready.
• Knowledge of human resources management practices including talent acquisition, employee relations, training & development.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with candidates.
• Ability to handle data collection accurately while maintaining confidentiality; experience in administrative roles is advantageous.
