We’ve secured our pension fund license, a first-of-its-kind in Belgium, and momentum is building fast. Now we need an experienced leader to run the fund and help shape the future of occupational pensions in this country.
We are looking for a Pension Fund Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and operations of Warren Pension Fund OFP.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with full executive responsibility for the fund’s financial soundness, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will report to the Board of Directors and work closely with internal teams, service providers, and regulators (FSMA).
You’ll own the full fund lifecycle: from governance and compliance to participant administration, investment oversight, and digital product. This is a career-defining mandate for someone who wants to build something meaningful in Belgium’s financial landscape.
What you’ll work on

Lead the execution of the fund’s strategy in line with regulatory and board directives.
Prepare and deliver Board and General Assembly documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and formal submissions to the FSMA.
Maintain oversight of fund governance and internal controls, supported by legal and compliance partners.
Represent the fund externally: regulators, auditors, and sector bodies.

Act as Product Owner for the Admin Portal: define requirements and guide IT on workflow automation.
Oversee daily fund administration: participant data, benefit statements, claims processing, and documentation.
Ensure timely collection of contributions, accurate payroll reconciliation, and cash transfers to the trading platform.
Supervise treasury and liquidity management, including operational payments and bridge funding.

Identify and monitor operational risks; conduct regular assessments of internal and third-party processes.
Ensure the fund remains fully compliant with IORP II and Belgian regulatory obligations.
Manage relationships with the FSMA, external auditors, and the compliance function.

Coordinate with the investment committee to monitor performance, review allocations, and align with fund objectives.
Track investment risks and deliver performance reporting to the Board.
Ensure the investment policy remains aligned with participant needs and regulatory requirements.

Act as primary contact for employer and employee representatives on all fund administration matters.
Provide updates, training, and guidance on scheme rules, system usage, and regulatory changes.
Liaise with third-party service providers to ensure smooth delivery and timely issue resolution.
Support the Warren BV commercial team in onboarding new employer clients into the fund.
Experienced: minimum 7–10 years in pension fund management, insurance, or regulated financial services.
Governance-savvy: deep understanding of Belgian pension regulation, IORP II, and FSMA processes.
A natural leader: comfortable managing cross-functional teams, external partners, and board-level stakeholders.
Detail-oriented but strategic: you can move between the big picture and the operational detail with ease.
Tech-curious: you see digital tools and AI-assisted workflows as a genuine advantage, not a threat.
An excellent communicator: native Dutch speaker, fluent in English. French is a plus.
