Position Summary
Serve as a key leader responsible for ensuring the facilities site operations support organization safely and effectively meets all contractual deliverables and stakeholder expectations for the National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL). This role involves comprehensive oversight of maintenance and engineering contract performance, budget, and schedule, alongside the establishment and management of a robust site-wide safety program. The position requires a leader who can direct complex operations, interpret broad policies, and make authoritative decisions to maintain compliance and drive performance. A primary focus of this position is to act as the main liaison with NETL, managing expectations and fostering a productive relationship. The incumbent will also be responsible for coaching and developing a new site leadership team, instilling a culture of accountability, organization, and proactive problem-solving. This work is critical to the overall success, safety, and efficiency of site operations, directly impacting the organization's ability to support NETL's mission-critical objectives. The Facilities Site Manager is responsible for the daily work activities that ensure NETL infrastructure is maintained, and operations are consistent and constant. This includes coordinating site operations with NETL federal facilities staff, the WFS site R&D manager and other management officials. Open and frequent communications with the NETL Federal Site Manager is essential to ensure successful execution of assigned job duties.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires all work to be performed at a U.S. Department of Energy government owned, government operated site which includes business offices, research laboratories and support facilities. The position may require standing for extended periods of time. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, safety footwear and mandatory hearing protection. Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be required, up to 10% of the time. The travel may be local or national and may be by car, rail, or air.
