We are currently seeking motivated and responsible individuals to join our team of irrigation technicians!
This is a seasonal position which will allow you to pursue all your favorite winter activities during the off season. During the shut down period all staff is made eligible to receive Employment Insurance at their discretion. All employees who are successful throughout their employment can expect to have a job waiting for them the following year.
This position is ideal for a hard-working individual wanting to gain knowledge and experience while working outdoors.
Hire date: September 1st, 2021
Hourly wage: $19.00.
Overtime (40+ hours) $28.50
Main functions
Closure and service of underground sprinkler systems and outdoor lighting systems.
Hired candidates will be dispatched to our client's homes to empty irrigation lines of water for winterization using Waterwell's techniques and procedures.
This position requires lots of physical work including kneeling, digging with a shovel and lifting (less than 50lbs)
Applicants must already be located in Quebec, Canada. No overseas applicants will be considered.
No experience or prior knowledge of irrigation systems is required. Position is best suited to curious, determined individuals who enjoy problem solving and seeing results.
**A valid driver's license is required without exception**
Must be comfortable driving a large van which tows a small compressor.
Candidates must be available a minimum of 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day OR 2 week days and 2 weekend days. Shifts start at 6h30 Monday-Friday and 7h30 on Saturdays and Sundays. These times are not flexible.
Bilingualism
Experience in basic manual labour, plumbing or electricity would be an asset.
Internal training is offered for interested candidates to take on more responsibility and become autonomous workers in the field.
