Position Profile

Weaver India, LLP is looking for talented US Tax professionals at the Associate level to join our growing firm!

We are looking for enthusiastic and detail-oriented US Tax Associates to join our US Tax team. This entry-level role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking hands-on exposure to US tax compliance and a strong foundation in federal and state taxation while working closely with experienced tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist in the preparation of US Federal and State tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

• Collect, organize, and review client data and supporting tax documents.

• Prepare workpapers and ensure proper documentation for tax filings.

• Perform basic tax research and apply US tax regulations under supervision.

• Work with tax preparation software and internal systems accurately.

• Meet assigned deadlines while maintaining firm quality standards.

• Collaborate with team members to resolve data discrepancies and client queries.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a deadline-driven environment.
• Given the global nature of the role, the candidate must align with US firm and client time zones, including availability during late evening and weekend hours in India.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during critical delivery timelines and peak periods will be necessary to ensure effective collaboration with US teams and execution according to US client deadlines.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of US taxation concepts (academic or training exposure preferred).

• Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

• Working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting fundamentals.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills 

• Pursuing EA or CPA certification.
