    Job description

    Weber Shandwick is looking for a Junior Associate to join our Healthcare team in our NYC office. The ideal candidate has experience working with a wide range of corporate clients, with the ability to develop strategy, create messaging and leverage strong media contacts. What We Are Looking For: Our team in New York City is seeking a Junior Associate for its growing healthcare practice.

    We are looking for someone who is passionate about healthcare and making a difference in the lives of patients living with various diseases and conditions. The Junior Associate will work closely with senior and junior staff members across several teams to provide counsel and manage day-to-day work, in addition to serving as a key client contact. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent writing and communication skills and an ability to translate client needs into project plans. The candidate should have agency or related experience with a background in healthcare communications. The person in this role will help develop and implement engagement campaigns for a variety of healthcare clients, including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and health systems.

    What You Will Be Doing:

    • Develop media materials (press releases, pitch emails, reporter backgrounders, social media posts)

    • Monitor the media, flag articles of note and draft POV e-mails to the client

    • Develop targeted media lists and learn/follow clients' priority media: top-tier, trade,

    • Conduct research and media audits independently

    • Deliver accurate and timely media monitoring and campaign results reports to reviewer

    • Maintain and update status reports, including materials trackers, media trackers, conference/event trackers

    • Participate in client meetings and/or teleconferences, accurately capture meeting notes, next steps

    What We Are Looking For/Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • 0-1 years Healthcare/Pharma and/or PR/Media agency experience

    • Ability to manage projects and keep to all on schedule
