    Within Wealth & Investment Management (WIM), our Banking, Lending & Trust (BL&T) division delivers customized banking and credit solutions to affluent, high-net-worth, and ultra-high-net-worth clients. As part of our nationally recognized Legal Specialty Group, you'll work with sophisticated law firm clients across the country, structuring complex credit solutions that support growth, partner capital needs, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.

    This role offers the opportunity to combine advanced credit expertise with strategic client advisory work, partnering directly with Private Bankers, Regional Leadership, attorneys, and law firm executives on highly visible transactions.

    What You'll Do:

    As a Lead Wealth Underwriter, you'll serve as a trusted credit partner, helping evaluate, structure, and manage sophisticated lending relationships for law firms and related professional practices.

    You'll:

    • Underwrite and structure complex commercial credit facilities tailored to client needs and strategic objectives.
    • Analyze financial performance, cash flows, industry trends, and collateral to assess risk and identify opportunities.
    • Develop innovative credit solutions that strengthen client relationships and support business growth.
    • Partner with Private Bankers and leadership teams to provide strategic advice throughout the lending process.
    • Lead transaction discussions involving credit structures, covenant negotiations, documentation, and deal execution.
    • Present recommendations to senior credit leaders and decisionmakers with confidence and clarity.
    • Manage an existing portfolio of legal-industry relationships, monitoring performance and identifying emerging risks.
    • Review and negotiate loan documentation alongside internal and external counsel.
    • Maintain sound risk practices while supporting business growth objectives.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of Wealth Underwriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Commercial lending experience supporting law firms, professional services firms, or middle-market clients.
    • Formal commercial credit training.
    • Experience with complex loan documentation and transaction negotiations.
    • Knowledge of capital markets, treasury, and broader banking solutions.
    • Strong understanding of commercial financial statements, cash flow analysis, and lending structures.
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

    Job Expectations:

    • Ability to travel up to 20%
    • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired.     Pay Range

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$143,000.00 - $224,000.00
