    Job description

    Site: Wentworth-Douglass Physician Corporation

Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham.

    Job Summary

Wentworth Health Partners Coastal Neurology Services has been providing adults and children with comprehensive and trusted care since 1983. Our board-certified physicians specialize in the prevention, diagnosis and management of an array of neurological disorders, including headaches, epilepsy, autism, ADHD, neuromuscular disease, neuropathy, sleep disorders, small-fiber polyneuropathy, stroke and more. Our Neurology practices are located at 10 Members Way, Dover, NH, and 73 Corporate Drive, Portsmouth, NH.
We are seeking a 40-hour Medical Assistant to join our Neurology team Monday through Friday, with a start time between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM.
As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants have the opportunity to work autonomously at the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team.
We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support.
The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Direct Medical Assistant experience or related medical field experience preferred; 0–1 year of experience acceptable.

    • Experience may not be accepted in lieu of the required education.

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

    • Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.

    Additional Job Details (if applicable)

If you are a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant who enjoys supporting patients and providers in a collaborative specialty care environment, we encourage you to apply. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated Neurology team and make a meaningful impact in the patient experience.
