Safety Officer
WEPA UK
Your responsibilities:
Support the implementation and continual improvement of the site's ISO45001 Health and Safety Management System.
Support with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with relevant UK health and safety legislation and company standards.
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
Support risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permit-to-work processes.
Analyse safety performance data and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Participate in emergency preparedness activities and drills.
Work collaboratively with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture.
Assist with contractor management and site safety compliance activities.
Your profile:
Personality: Team player, strong influencing skills, self motivated, flexible approach to work
Working method: team-orientated, methodical, solution orientated, ability to work independently
Experiences and know-how: professional safety experience, knowledge of ISO 45001 desirable, IRCA qualified auditor desirable
Qualification: NEBOSH General certificate essential,
Languages: fluent in English
