Key Duties and Responsibilities - Monitor Health: Track maternal and fetal vital signs, labor progress, and address any complications.
- Educate and Support: Guide and comfort patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
- Assist in Delivery: Prepare rooms, support delivery procedures, and manage tasks like IVs and medications.
- Administer Medications: Provide pain relief and manage complications under physician guidance.
- Postpartum Care: Oversee recovery, support breastfeeding, and provide newborn care.
- Document Care: Record all care activities and communicate with the healthcare team.
- Emergency Response: Handle emergencies such as fetal distress and perform resuscitation.
- Collaboration: Work with a multidisciplinary team and ensure effective communication with patients and families.
B. Skills and Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery Experience Required
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations and respond quickly to emergencies.
