Clinical Trainer - Behavioral Health

The Clinical Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that support clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff competency across behavioral health services. This role ensures that clinical staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to provide high-quality, evidence-based care in alignment with organizational standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices.

Education & Licensure

• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required
• Active clinical licensure (e.g., LICSW, LPC, or equivalent) preferred or required based on organizational needs

Experience

• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in behavioral health
• Experience in staff training, education, or supervision preferred
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities and evidence-based practices
• Understanding of regulatory and accreditation standards (CARF, Medicaid, CCBHC, etc.)
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
• Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into practical, applicable training
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
