Position Summary: The Universal Loan Processor supports the lending process by reviewing loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines and procedures. This position processes loan maintenance activities, calculates payoffs, maintains accurate loan records, and provides timely support to branch employees for consumer and business loans. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to identify and resolve documentation or processing issues while working collaboratively with the Central Loan Processing team.

Schedule: Average of 40 hours within a Monday through Friday work week

Responsibilities

Loan Documentation and Compliance

• Review assigned consumer and business loans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established lending guidelines, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate documentation and follow up with the appropriate parties to obtain corrections or additional information.
• Review loan forms and supporting documentation to ensure information is consistent and properly completed.
• Apply established procedures and directives when reviewing and processing loan documentation.
• Escalate documentation or processing issues when additional guidance or approval is needed.

Loan Processing and Maintenance

• Process consumer and business loan maintenance requests in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Process paid loans, including releasing security interests as appropriate.
• Calculate and provide accurate loan payoff amounts.
• Maintain accurate loan information and documentation in applicable systems.

File Management and Reporting

• Maintain organized, complete, and accurate loan files in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Process assigned weekly and monthly reports and complete necessary follow-up.
• Identify and address documentation or processing issues to help maintain accurate loan records.

Branch and Team Support

• Serve as the Central Loan Processing (CLP) representative for assigned branches and provide timely support for loan processing and maintenance needs.
• Respond to phone calls and inquiries professionally and direct questions to the appropriate resource when needed.
• Provide backup support to other Universal Loan Processors to help maintain department workflow and service levels.
• Work collaboratively with the CLP Manager and team members to complete department responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
