    We are currently searching for a Housekeeper/Custodian to work in the Housekeeping Department.  In this role, the receptionist is responsible to Operates switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls. Act as the front desk receptionist. Monitor the public address and emergency alerting system.  This position reports to the Director of Housekeeping.  Schedule: Full Time position | Every Other Weekends

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    1. Responsible for cleaning homes, condominiums, studio apartments, health center rooms and common areas.  May work outside in the heat/cold/rain and transfer between buildings.
    2. Responsible for sanitizing Health Center rooms after a move-out or prior to a move-in.
    3. Maintain dinning areas cleaned and sanitized (at least twice daily).
    4. Cleaning, dusting, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming daily of assigned work areas.
    5. Garbage removal including biohazards removal (by contracted vendor) from the assigned areas.
    6. Cleaning duties/functions as contracted by independent residents.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A high school education or equivalent and up to one month related experience or training.
    • Experience and Basic Knowledge:
    • Working with older adults in a healthcare setting is desirable, preferably a minimum of 6 months.

    Requires Skills:

    1. Ability to read, write and speak the English language and understand and follow written and oral directions.
    2. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
