We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operations and upkeep of our facilities and grounds. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, mechanically inclined, service-minded, willing to learn, and ready to help wherever needed. The Facilities Technician will perform a wide range of tasks, from groundskeeping and light carpentry to snow removal, lot sanding, general maintenance, and occasional errands such as picking up local orders. This role requires flexibility to support facility needs as they arise (plumbing, carpentry, light electrical, etc.), including seasonal tasks and weather-related work. The Facilities Technician should be prepared to work both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining a professional and service-focused attitude.
- Perform general facility maintenance, repairs, and upkeep as assigned.
- Assist with groundskeeping duties, including mowing, landscaping support, cleanup, and seasonal outdoor maintenance.
- Complete light carpentry, minor repairs, and other hands-on maintenance tasks.
- Support winter weather operations, including plowing, sanding, and clearing facility lots and walkways.
- Respond to changing facility needs and shift priorities as work demands change.
- Pick up local orders, supplies, or other items as needed to support facility and business operations.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and clean up after completing each job.
- Take responsibility for assigned work, follow through on tasks, and communicate when work is complete or when support is needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and take direction from supervisors and designated leads.
- Prior experience in facilities, maintenance, groundskeeping, carpentry, or a related hands-on role preferred.
- Ability to safely operate basic tools and equipment related to facility maintenance and groundskeeping.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, pivot quickly, and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license preferred, as occasional errands or pickups may be required.
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and using equipment as needed.
- CDL License (current) and ability to drive 18 wheeler, very strong plus
- Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
- Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards
- Attend scheduled EH&S training program
- Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans
- Recommend improved EH&S practices
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties. This ability to communicate requires the employee to be conversant in English as the majority of our workforce and the third parties that we encounter only speak English.
