Overview
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated operators to be a part of our earthworks project in St. Albert. We are looking for heavy equipment operators with experience operating Excavators, Rock Trucks, Packers, Graders, and Dozers. We are looking for accuracy, diligence, and a strong dedication to safety for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate graders for rough and fine grading, road construction, site preparation, ditching, and maintaining access roads on civil earthworks projects.
- Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, survey information, and GPS/machine control systems to achieve required elevations, slopes, and tolerances.
- Perform finish grading and shaping of roads, pads, slopes, and other surfaces to meet project specifications and drainage requirements.
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections, basic equipment maintenance, and housekeeping, reporting mechanical issues or deficiencies promptly.
- Work closely with Foremen, Superintendents, survey crews, and other equipment operators while following company safety policies, site procedures, and Alberta OH&S requirements.
Requirement for all jobs
- Earthwork construction experience are required.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Pay to be determined by skill and experience.
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies, OH & S Legislation, and WCB reporting procedures.
- Understand and maintain quality and production standards and work to achieve established production goals.
- Physically able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as required in the construction environment.
- Must have your own transportation.
- Must have own steel-toes safety boots.
