The Social Media Manager provides key support to the Senior Channel Manager and operates at the inter-section of fans, brand and revenue. They are responsible for the quality, creative ambition and commercial value of the team's social publishing with a clear understanding of how great content grows fanbases, builds brand equity and drives commercial returns for Williams.
The Social Media Manager leads the planning, creation and publishing of best-in-class content across Williams’ social channels including;
Essential:
5+ years' experience managing social media channels for leading brands, sports properties, or agencies, with strong partner and client management expertise and a proven ability to deliver best-in-class social content and campaigns.
Demonstrable experience working with commercial partners, comfortable presenting ideas, elevating campaigns and defending creative decisions in partner meetings.
A sharp, fluent understanding of how fans, brand and revenue interact in a sports context, with the ability to translate that understanding into editorial and commercial decisions.
Exceptional creative judgement and an acute understanding of brand, with the ambition and taste to push visual and creative quality on every post.
Meticulous attention to detail, with experience operating within a formal content proofing and sign-off process (partner logos, rights, spelling, brand compliance).
Strong knowledge of both organic and paid social media, with hands-on experience planning and activating paid campaigns to support organic and partner content.
Confident using social data and insight to inform decisions and evidence content and campaign value to partners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team-player mindset and the ability to build trust quickly with partners and colleagues.
Highly organised, resilient and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities and a changeable workload at pace, without ever letting standards slip.
Flexible to work occasional weekends and across time zones where required by the content and partner calendar.
