Priestley Primary School is named after Joseph Priestley – philosopher and teacher – who discovered oxygen and believed that education was the key to shaping the futures of both people and the world. Key Responsibilities of a class teacher:
• Raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement.
• Support and develop teaching practice with colleagues.
• Monitor and evaluate curriculum impact and pupil progress.
• Demonstrate outstanding classroom practice and professional conduct.
• Collaborate with colleagues to drive school priorities and initiatives.
About You
• A qualified primary teacher who brings a positive experience and outlook.
• A passion for raising standards for all pupils, through the effective pedagogy of inclusive education.
• Demonstrated experience of raising standards being a contributor to school development.
• Suitably skilled and resilient to drive an improvement in children’s lives and manage sustainable change.
