The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a permanent part-time role based in Tauranga, working Sunday, Monday to Tuesday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

In this role, you will:

• Support tangata whai ora in a mental health adult respite setting, working alongside them individually towards a holistic recovery-focused goal
• Have good people and communication skills and can work independently within a wider team
• Be busy supporting tangata whai ora with budgeting and independent daily living skills
• Attending appointments and advocating for tangata whai ora
• Assisting tangata whai ora to connect with essential and wrap around support services in the community
• Liaising with clinicians to achieve better outcomes for tangata whai ora through collaborative, person-centred care
• Be prepared to do whatever it takes for the people we support - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping with everyday tasks

About You | Mōu

• Applicants must hold the Level 4 New Zealand certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or a recognized equivalent) or have commenced studies towards their qualification
• You must hold a current full New Zealand Driver Licence
• You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the articles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
